In 2020 the scene is thriving with new talent on the cusp of hitting it big in the mainstream. In this list, I will be compiling the top 5 bands I think you need to stop sleeping on immediately.

Never Loved, hailing from South Florida has been gaining traction quickly since the release of their self titled EP and signing to Equal Vision Records in early 2019. Since finishing up their tour with Assuming We Survive and We Were Sharks, the group has been working hard in the studio recording their first full-length album.

STAND ATLANTIC

Since dropping their First full-length Skinny Dipping in 2018, the Australian trio has been steadily on the rise. Touring with the likes of As It Is, Neck Deep, and State Champs as well as headline tours of their own, the group has been gaining traction quickly and even won Best Breakthrough Band at the Rocksound Awards this year.

POINT NORTH

Point North has been rising rapidly since the release of their EP Retrograde in 2019. In just the short few years the group has been around, they have signed with Hopeless Records and toured with the likes of As It Is, Stand Atlantic, and Sleeping With Sirens. The group just released their latest single "Into The Dark" featuring Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn

UK pop-punkers WSTR has quickly gained traction in the scene over the past few years. Forming in 2015, the group has toured with the likes of Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, and Trash Boat as well their own headlining tours and performing on Slam Dunk Fest. In 2017 the group dropped their first full-length album and soon after signed with Hopeless Records, where they released their 2nd hit full-length Identity Crisis. The group is currently out on a U.S tour with Grayscale.

SUPER WHATEVR

California based alt-rock group Super Whatevr has been gaining popularity over the past few years. Starting in 2013 as a vehicle for vocalist Sky Mckee to release his poetry, he quickly gained traction with his 2016 EP Good Luck and signing with Hopeless Records. They have since released their second full length, don't you wanna be glad? just a few days ago and have toured with the likes of Waterparks and Set it Off.
