They’re back and with new music! On February 28th, along with premiering their new song “Lowlife,” UK pop-punk band, Neck Deep, announced their fourth studio album All Distortions Are Intentional which will be dropping on July 24th via Hopeless Records. The guys welcomed fans to the new era with Sonderland, when talking about the concept it is told as, “It’s that strange existential realization that you are not the entire world,” explains singer Ben Barlow. “Everyone around you feels and lives the same way that you do. You’re just an extra in their story.”  Barlow also goes on to share about how “Writing ‘Lowlife’, it was like I was tapping into this part of my own personality, my own psyche” which makes the track uniquely reflective of them as a group.

Got vacancy? The track starts off with a fun and bouncy bass riff and drum beat that makes it easy to jump around to. As a group, Neck Deep are embracing being lowlifes on their new track with the declaration “I’m a lowlife, living the slowlife, baby, I’ll see you in hell”  during the bridge as a farewell to conformity. “Lowlife” is about becoming your individual and refusing to blend in with the crowd. If you’re a long time listener for Neck Deep, one might not expect the line “You’re a normie, so fucking boring” may take you a bit by surprise, at least it did for me. With these past singles Neck Deep has put out, including “She’s A God,” it is safe to assume that the next two suspected singles and All Distortions Are Intentional are  going to be enough to make it a highly anticipated album for this summer.

Neck Deep will be hitting the road later this year from September through December. Make sure to register to receive priority access to tickets at neckdeepuk.com! Tickets go on sale to the public on March 13th at 10am local time.
